The game, "Kindergarten Killer," can be found widely on the Web. Matti Saari, 22, last week killed 10 people at a vocational school in Kauhajoki, Finland, in the country's second school shooting in less than a year. Saari prefaced his rampage with boastful video clips on Web sites such as YouTube. Finnish student Pekka-Eric Auvinen did the same before shooting six fellow students, the school nurse and the principal to death at Jokela high school last November. Both Saari and Auvinen shot themselves following their rampages and died later from their injuries. Calvert County authorities said they found them Saturday as they were investigating a report of an injured child. A woman who said the girls were her adopted daughters has been arrested, according to The Washington Post. Renee Bowman, 43, told deputies that the remains had been frozen since at least February, according to a press release by sheriff's Lt. Bobby Jones and detective Sgt. Michael Moore Jr. The sheriff's office said a third girl was found by investigators Saturday after escaping from a locked bedroom by jumping out the window. The release by Jones and Moore said Bowman told investigators she beat the 7-year-old with a "hard-heeled shoe." She was charged with child abuse in connection with that girl, Jones and Moore said. Bowman has been ordered held without bond. Jones and Moore said the Medical Examiner's Office asked that the entire freezer be brought to Baltimore so the evidence could be removed. Or, we can take this opportunity to end the federal government's interference in the marketplace, truly embrace free market capitalism, and return to a sound monetary system.   The Federal Reserve's practices of easy credit and monetary inflation have crashed our economy, and now they're asking us to trust them to fix it. When you call Congress to express your outrage at the bailout, tell them you want real solutions. It is time for Congress to: 1.) End the Bailouts - Congress must revoke the Federal Reserve's authority to bail out failed businesses at your expense. 2.) Cut Taxes and Curb Regulation - If we really want to stimulate businesses and revive the market, we need to cut corporate and capital gains taxes, spurring investors to come back to the market and making it easier to attract new workers and clients.  It is also time to end failed legislation like Sarbanes-Oxley, which has crippled capital markets, diminished our competitiveness, and greatly harmed small businesses.    3.) Reduce Spending - We must freeze all non-entitlement spending by the federal government at current levels and eliminate wasteful spending both domestically and in our trillion-dollar overseas budget.  Our debt has to come down, and it won't until we start living within our means. 4.) Reform the Monetary System - If we are to have long-term economic progress, we must end the system of printing money out of thin air. Mother charged with child endangerment 09/24/2008 03:16 PM By: Web Staff Capital News 9 MONTGOMERY COUNTY, New York -- An Amsterdam woman is charged with child endangerment after an incident at the Montgomery County Office Building in Fonda on Tuesday. Montgomery County Sheriff Michael Amato said Michelle Waterson, 23, was in the waiting room with her 2-year-old son when she became angry with him and slapped him several times, also striking him in the head with a rolled up wad of paper. Waterson was arraigned for endangering the welfare of a child and sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500 bail. The judge also issued an order of protection for the child, who is now in protective care.  Good Grief. This is child endangerment? Kidnapped the kid too.  Do you see anything about "Reasonable Efforts"?  No.  A Typical case.  A travesty.

Bush Administration Puts Price Tag for Financial Bailout at $700 Billion Saturday, September 20, 2008 FOX News WASHINGTON — President Bush, saying he decided to "act, and act boldly," has sent a request to Congress for up to $700 billion to let the federal government to buy up bad mortgages in a move to stem a widespread economic meltdown. Bush pledged Saturday to work with Congress to quickly pass the rescue package. And he deflected conservative criticism that the government is taking an overbearing approach to stabilizing the financial markets. "My first instinct was to let the market work," Bush said. But after being briefed by experts on the scope of the problem, he said he realized a "robust and strong" bailout was needed. “It is a big package because it was a big problem,” Bush said. “The risk of doing nothing far outweighed the risk of the package." By a unanimous vote on Wednesday, September 10, the Senate Finance Committee approved the Chairman’s Mark for the Improved Adoption Incentives and Relative Guardianship Support Act. If enacted, this bill would extend through 2013 the Adoption Incentive Program, whereby the federal government allocates financial rewards to states that have increased the number of children adopted from their foster care system. It would also increase adoption incentives by establishing 2007 as the program’s new “base year” against which future performance would be measured. The bill provides for all children with special needs in foster care, by 2018, to be eligible for adoption assistance, regardless of household income. The bill would establish relative guardianship as a permanency option for those children for whom courts have ruled that neither reunification nor adoption are viable permanency options, and allow states to receive federal reimbursement for assistance payments made to relative guardians. (The only "good" thing in the damnable nightmare.  Otherwise, we can expect ever more of the insane CPS lies, fraud, and coercion to create "Legal Orphans" for the funding streams) The House of Representatives passed a similar bill in June. DCFS threats to take children ruled illegal By Ofelia Casillas and Matt O'Connor Chicago Tribune staff reporters - March 15, 2005 A federal judge ruled that Illinois families were deprived of their constitutional rights when state child welfare officials threatened to separate parents from their children during abuse investigations. ..."When an investigator expressly or implicitly conveys that failure to accept a plan will result in the removal of the children for more than a brief or temporary period of time, it constitutes a threat sufficient to deem the family's agreement coerced, and to implicate due process rights," Pallmeyer wrote in the 59-page opinion.
