When
the Child Protective Service decides YOU would
make a nice target, they have to bring in some outside validation
for injecting themselves into your family. This validation comes from one
of their contract psychiatrists.
This technique was created
in the early 1980's, known as the "Miami
Method", and has been duplicated across America and around the
world.
The psychiatrist is obligated to assign a diagnosis to your child the CPS can use to make allegations they think will "stick" to you. (A case might be made that the social worker actually recommends the diagnosis she wants).
| This might sound
like I am denigrating
their ETHICS and honesty.
As a point of FACT, I am CLARIFYING their ETHICS |
How
complicated is it to make a suitable "diagnosis"?
Pretty simple, if you have
a copy of the DSM-IV.

Trying to appear analogous to the Medical profession's highly respected Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) (pictured at left), the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) (pictured below) is the American Psychiatric Association's attempt to "standardize" illnesses into categories to aid in "diagnosis" and cloak itself with the look, sound and feel of credibility and authority.
|
| The Diagnostic and Statistical
Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) is published by the American
Psychiatric Association. It is the "Bible" of mental health
clinicians in America.
But while the PDR is built on scientific research, "DSM IV is the fabrication upon which psychiatry seeks acceptance by medicine in general. Insiders know it is more a political than scientific document. To its credit it says so, although its brief apologia is rarely noted. DSM IV has become a bible and a money making best seller" (Quote from Dr. Loren R. Mosher) From the DSM-IV comes the popular "Disorder" and "Syndrome" diagnoses routinely made for children today. See DSM-IV Online |

Since
parents are prevented from disciplining
their children, and urban living frowns on
"rambunctous kids",
we simply diagnose them with a "disorder" and give them DRUGS
to make them behave.
Frankly just about EVERYBODY is tired of the poor quality use and suspect purposes Psychiatry and Child Protective Services has used the DSM-IV for.
Some PROMINENT PROFESSIONALS are tired of it too. See:
Study of Theodore R. Sarbin- University of California, Santa Cruz and James C. Mancuso- University at Albany
And Resignation of the famous psychiatrist, Loren R. Mosher
Foremost, we oppose Children's Protective Service use of "Syndrome Evidence". This is the routine of conveniently "diagnosing" a child with a syndrome or disorder that implies the PARENT caused or created the "condition"

It's a Government-financed money-maker, balanced on the backs of ethnic groups, minorities, Christians, anybody who does not "live up to the NEW PARADIGM or "Cultural Norm", a POLITICAL MOVEMENT established in the past mere 30 years. |
How can parents defend against a "syndrome" or "disorder" that doesn't exist?
While at the same time, the CPS, psychiatrists, and magistrates (The Parent Abuse Triangle) defend the "diagnosis" as a great, sacred cow that is "above question".
Is this anything less than using Psychiatry as a weapon for SOCIAL TERRORISM?

Numerous courts have found Syndrome Evidence as "unacceptable".
The worst of it is: You may have a child who ACTUALLY DOES suffer from a REAL illness. But parents find themselves accused and prosecuted as ABUSERS and BLAMED for CAUSING the child's illness.
Significant Quote from Families on the Brink: "most professionals and services had not kept current with the latest research or treatment information and used OUTDATED THEORIES AND APPROACHES, INCLUDING BLAMING FAMILIES FOR THEIR CHILD'S DISORDER".
Even if a syndrome or disorder diagnosis does not result in accusation of parents, we ARE alarmed at how many kids in America are on Drugs to control NORMAL CHILDHOOD BEHAVIOR
