I'm 45 & married for the 3rd time. CPS literally destroyed my first two marriages & families. My third wife would not succumb to their threats, but still Lori & the children did suffer. I used to be a music teacher. CPS destroyed my career.
My first marriage (I was married 1980). When our first child was born, the pediatrician (Dr. Kessel) stated failure to thrive (it was baby formula intolerance). In the records he stated that this child is the product of two mentally retarded individuals. Our child (J***) was put in the hospital & CPS took over from there. We managed to fight to get our child & take him with us where we stayed with my parents for a year in Alamosa (& went through their case treatment). A year later we went back to Denver & to court (Jefferson County). The court Psychologist put down all types of lies like we had a sadomasochistic relationship. The case in court was dropped on a no fault; the pediatrician wanted CPS to pay him to testify.
A year later our second child (J****) was born. Early in the morning there was a banging at the door We weren't even out of bed; I answered the door & police & a social worker barged in. Police had guns drawn on me; they ripped the baby out of my wife's arms (Candace), with my wife screaming in terror, and took our son away.
In the trial, our lawyer discounted all their evidence, but the judge still found us guilty. The social worker (Helen Hooper) told us she would make sure we never got our children back; and in fact we found out she was getting money to try to adopt them out (an illegal adoption ring) we somehow were able to get them to Alamosa in foster care & we moved down there (thinking we would have a better chance).
I took it on my part to meet the head of CPS down there (Connie Rodriguez & Mary Gallegos) who then told me it didn't matter what I did, they would never give me the children back. I took it upon myself to get counseling and whatever to try to get my children back. I went to Adams State to continue my Education Degree.
My dad was a minister in Alamosa, and at the time on the child protective team. Our second child was born (J*******), also having a formula intolerance problem. Dr. Kelly slammed failure to thrive. We were able to get J******* placed with my parents. My father started her on old fashioned carnation formula, & she gained weight; my dad proving the pediatrician was negligent (the case was never dropped or no apologies).
There were many times CPS would come walking through the door (sometimes with police) without knocking. CPS threatened to throw my parents in jail if they helped us in any way. By that time my father had quit the child protective team; seeing the lies & illegal activities the CPS was doing.
Our 4th child was born (premature); CPS never allowed us to bring him home (J*****).. By that time my wife went mentally over the deep end. CPS at one point interviewed my daughter J******* (then three), repeating over & over again, mommy & daddy slap you. Finally J******* with a puzzled look said mommy & daddy slap me? Her foster family was trying to get control of her money & her foster brother then took the kids (supposedly for foster care). As I hugged my little girl goodbye, she said, "Daddy, don't cry". She was three at the time.
For J***, on a visit with my parents, they were able to let me (without CPS's knowledge) take him on his first fishing trip. It was a magical, & last time I was able to spend with my oldest son (& still have the picture of him holding up a large basket of trout proudly). I soon found out that CPS was threatening Candace that if she didn't divorce me, she would never see our kids again. Our marriage ended in divorce.
In court I was dragged off for no reason in handcuffs & placed in a Psychiatric ward. They didn't find any problem other than the trauma & stress caused by CPS. The psychiatrist said he could find no proof that I would ever abuse children. This statement was ignored in the court proceedings. I never signed custody away, but found out that my children's names had been changed and they were adopted to Candace's brother without my knowledge.
Candace was deemed mentally incompetent & ran off, her foster family got the kids & her wealth. My parents do get letters every so often about the kids. In 1989 I married my second wife Vicki. We moved from Alamosa, Colorado to Jonesboro, Arkansas. The defamation followed, but luckily with good references, I was able to get a teaching assistanceship at the highschool.
Our first son J***** was born (healthy & no problems, but by C-Section) We moved back to Colorado a year later. The assistanceship gave me a great reference base where I was able to get into the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) where I got a graduate fellowship & was able to work on my Masters Degree & Teacher's certification.
A requirement of teacher's certification is extensive interview, observation of your interaction with children, & extensive psychological evaluation. I was found to be normal & a person that would never abuse children. I was also found to be a model teacher & inducted into PI Lambda Theta; a national teacher's Honor & professional Organization.
Our second & third child (K**** & R*****) were born in Greeley (both normal). CPS & the police were constantly at our door & we would have to strip frightened kids to show they were not abused.
One such instance is on a school interview, J***** was running in the hall & tripped over a buffer, bruising his head. We told the daycare what happened. CPS was still called; the worker claiming we had abused him. I had to get the principal of the school I had interviewed at to call CPS & tell them that J***** had tripped in the hallway. There never was an apology from CPS for false allegations.
We moved to Akron, Colorado where I taught. One day I got a call at work to come home that there was trouble. Our sons K**** & R***** were playing outside; my wife had to go inside to answer the phone. There was a CPS worker that lived across from us, and was hell bent on causing trouble; saying Vicki was neglecting the kids. Also, the head of CPS was on the school Board & very much against the music program. He dug up all these previous false allegations; even so much as saying I had sexually abused my daughter.
I found out that my name was on the Central Registry, and was told by the Central Registry that they could put anything down that they wanted to that CPS said, and that it did not have to be substantiated.
I got a NEA attorney (National Education Association) who filed a lawsuit against the school (defamation). The school settled out of court, and I resigned as teacher. About that time I ended up in the hospital ICU with heart problems, physical collapse; they also had to remove 8 colon polyps. I was suddenly hit with degenerative spinal disease & had my first spinal surgery.
Despite this I returned to University of Northern Colorado to take my Master's Comp. Exams, and graduated August 1995 with a Masters Degree. CPS would still come to the door from time to time to harass. I substitute taught for a short time, and then we moved to Yuma, Arizona where I taught junior high & elementary band & choir.
Before Vicki & I were married, my father had sat down with her, and told her all the lies and trouble CPS had caused in my life. Upon birth of our 4th child, Vicki's mom had moved in. Vicki had been raped & abused as a child. My two oldest children suddenly came to me telling me that Vicki's mom was abusing them.
When I confronted her, Vicki & her mom took off with the children (going to Tucson). All of the sudden CPS is slamming all types of false allegations at me. CPS also pushed Vicki to divorce me against her will. That year I went through 4 surgeries & 1 hospitalization in the cardiac unit. 1 surgery was 8 hours while surgeons tried to save my life (my kidneys had shut down; and another surgery a week later. that fall I had my second major spinal surgery; not only another disc removed, but a rod & steel screws inserted.
I worked as an assistant district music coordinator after, & later resigned moving to Tucson to be closer my children. Vicki & her mom against court order took the kids & went to Texas. CPS gave her physical custody & continued to slam all types of false allegations and lies against me. They said that since I was a Christian, I could never be an adequate parent & compared me to the Amish.
The court appointed attorneys I had would do nothing in my defense.
A year later I received a call from the Metroplex psychiatric ward asking if I would take J*****, and that the CPS in Texas & the Psychologist approved. When I met J*****, having picked him up from his plane flight, he was doped do the gills on several drugs. I found out that he was having complex seizures. That night he wanted to sleep by me; holding my hand, and would not let go.
We took him to the neurologist.
At that time he also described to my wife Lori the physical & sexual abuse he had gone through at the hands of Vicki's mother (Vicki's mom practices the occult). A psychological evaluation was done on her stating that she should not even be near children. J**** started having problems with seizures, attempted suicide, stated he heard the voice of Satan telling him what to do, and started hitting and kicking my wife, myself my son L*** & my stepson M******) He ended up in the Psychiatric ward twice within a 2 week period. He was bruising from the medication he was on, and one instance of a fall while having a seizure. Here was a normal healthy boy that all of a sudden was having seizures and exemplified PTSD.
The abuse from Vicki's mom was clear. J***** ended up in Juvenile Detention on an assault, And CPS got involved. Late at night a pounding at the door, police & a social worker came barging in with guns drawn. I was just sitting on the couch doing nothing. The police grabbed me & slammed me to the floor, slamming a Knee into my back, then kicking me in the sides saying get up. My wife was screaming that I had a rod & steel screws in my back. They handcuffed me twisting my arms backward & drug me down two flights of stairs slamming me to the pavement below. I was vomiting & in severe shock from the pain by then, unable to move. An ambulance was finally called, & I was rushed to the hospital.
The police later charged me with resisting arrest & obstruction of government operations; putting down even more ludicrous lies. Our son L*** was 8 months old & M****** was 4 years old & terrified. CPS said that L*** was developmentally delayed. My brother in law who is a pediatrician called & said that was ludicrous & a lie. M****** was placed with Lori's parents & Luke was placed in a foster home.
This went on for a year. CPS claimed that there was domestic violence in the home, and ordered us to go through all types of anger management & domestic violence counseling.
The court appointed attorneys would do nothing to defend us.
The lies kept being printed. Lori's parents even said that we never abused or neglected our children. An unbiased Psychological evaluation was ignored by the court. I was forced also to spend 24 hours in jail. We were told that if we didn't plead guilty, we would never get our children back. They tried to force Lori to divorce me, but she would not take their threats.
A year later we finally got our children back. The court appointed attorney continues to do nothing & the Judges have been guilty of judicial misconduct several times. J***** was sent back to Texas; the courts violating Interstate Compact Laws.
Presently he is in a group home. I received a report of an incident in June 2 months later from my attorney. J**** had been sodomized 4 times against his will. CPS now wants to cut off all phone communication that I have with J***** since I found out. The CPS worker has called our house several times just to harass & throw more lies at us. CPS workers showed up at school to interview my stepson M*******, and have continued to harass in other ways.
The case, the lies, & the harassment continues. My attorney does nothing !!!
My ex wife Vicki is shacking up with a 22 year old (she is 35). She has my son T****** living with her mom (the very person that physically & sexually abused J*****). I wonder if CPS wanted to destroy me, why didn't they just shoot me?
My three year old son L*** is by my side as I type this. I hug him a little closer. My stepson is at school ( I worry about him). I worry about my son J***** & the torment & hell he is going through. He last said on the phone, " I miss you daddy & want to see you. I love you." I worry about my other children, K****, R*****, & T******. They also say they miss me & want to be with me. CPS says that J***** does not want to be with me.
My 4 other children from my first marriage, I don't hear from. One day I hope to see them; if not here, in heaven. I don't teach anymore, & am unemployed. I sit here on blood pressure/heart medication; have to take sleep medication because I have trouble sleeping; & am now on morphine for pain. I take asthma medication for respiratory damage done by toxic mold, & the fire from Yellowstone when I was a park ranger (1988)
When will the needless destruction stop? At least I have my wife Lori, my stepson M******(6), and my son L*** (3). I wish there would be an attorney who would step up & fight on my behalf. People seem so apathetic.
Well Leonard. that's my story. There are some gaps, & I could tell you more horror stories of what CPS & the courts have pulled; the bogus, false reports; the Psychologist who have never interviewed or ran certain test printing up lies paid for by CPS. This is no longer one nation under God. It has become a nazi nation. I live with fear everyday & have been diagnosed with PTSD. No, I don't live. I just exist !!!! Whatever help you can give (& prayers), or if you find a lawyer who is willing to fight & file a lawsuit, I thank you in advance !!!!
Leonard,After I found out that my son (in a Foster Group Home through Cedar Ridge) in Lometa, Texas was sodomized 4 times & physically abused in the foster home, Cedar Ridge & CPS in Tucson has cut off all communication that I had with my son J*****. I received documents from the court appointed attorney which seems to be showing a major cover -up. My court appointed attorney has not returned any phone calls from me; just like her since she as well as every other court appointed attorney has not even made an attempt to defend or take a stand on my behalf !!!
