(This is a letter that i am going to try to present to the judge if i am allowed)
Your Honor,On Febuary 4,2003 i agreed to have my son(James Matthew Ellis) put in the custody of the Wise County Social Services,on a temporary basis only,(or at least this was my understanding) with the intentions that Matthew was going to get the help that i thought that he needed in his displinary problem.
As of this date November 25,2003 that Matthew has resided in two foster homes,with no counseling at all, and as of today he is resideing at Victory Boy's Home in Norton, VA,where he has just started counseling ,on November 3,2003,where he is currently in counseling at Frontier Health
(Which for the record i was not informed by the Wise County Social Services that he was placed in the Victory Boy's Home)Because of some of the same problems with my oldest son (which lives with me)i have recently done some research,studying Robert and Matthews behavior,i have found out that Robert and Matthew does not have a behavior problem, they have an Auditoral Processing Disability.
This disorder is very often misdiagnoised as a behavior problem,or a mental disorder,and upon the foundings of this disorder,i would like too take my last plea to the court,(which was too place custody of Matthew with the Wise County Social Services)and i would like too petition the court for a modification on the previous court order,and i would also like to make the court aware of any documents that i signed in the past was under duress(meaning that no one explained what the out come would be of any documents that i may have signed or any decisions that was made.
I would like to ask the court to take inconsideration that i do love my son very much,and i was just trying to get him the help that i thought he needed,and at the time i was under the consumption that this was the only way to get him that help,but i now know that i was mislead and deeply regret the pain and suffering that i have caused my son,and i ask the court for your deepest sympathy and i also would like to petition the court to let Sondra Mccfadden to take Matthew into her home and let her work with him,to help him understand why he thinks the way he does,and so that she may also help me and teach me on how to help matthew,I believe that she can do this because she her self has a child like my boys and shehas been thru the training and the classes, Sondra is very well educated on this disorder ,and i believe with all of my heart that if she and her husband are given the chance to help my son and i ,they will be very successful doing so,just take a look at her daughter then you can judge for yourself.
