"It does not require many words to speak the truth."--
Chief
Joseph (1840-1904) Chief of the Wal-lam-wat-kain (Wallowa) band of Nez Perce Indians
He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of Officers to harass our People, and eat out their Substance. -The Declaration of Independence "THE MORE LAWS THE LESS JUSTICE" - German Proverb "WHEN THE STATE IS MOST CORRUPT, THE LAWS ARE MOST MULTIPLIED" - TACITUS "THE HARSHEST TYRANNY is that which acts under the protection of legality and the banner of Justice" - Baron De Montesquieu "There are only two places where Socialism works-- one is a beehive and the other an ant hill" - Ian Stewart Richardson "Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busy- bodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C. S. Lewis (1898-1963), British novelist "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." -- Martin Luther King, Jr. What's the Difference between CPS and the Gestapo? When the Gestapo sent people to the concentration camp, they kept families together.- Robert T. McQuaid "We don't believe children are just mouths to feed. They are hearts, minds, and souls for our future. And they deserve our protection not only after their birth, but before they are born." -Jack Kemp "To refuse them would be fatal for all of us, and joining them would be unthinkable." - Captain von Trapp Many bad policies are simply good policies taken too far. -- Thomas Sowell Quite often the social doctors become part of the disease. -- Eric Hoffer Policies are judged by their consequences, but crusades are judged by how good they make the crusaders feel. -- Thomas Sowell "Add a few drops of malice to a half truth and you have an absolute truth." -- Eric Hoffer "Mystical references to "society" and its programs to "help" may warm the hearts of the gullible but what it really means is putting more power in the hands of bureaucrats." -- Thomas Sowell It is a governing principle of nature, that the agency which can produce most good, when perverted from its proper aim, is most productive of evil. It behooves the well-intentioned, therefore, vigorously to watch the tendency of even their most highly prized institutions, since that which was established in the interests of the right, may so easily become the agent of the wrong. -- James Fenimore Cooper Make men wise, and by that very operation you make them free. Civil liberty follows as a consequence of this; no usurped power can stand against the artillery of opinion. -- William Godwin The majority, oppressing an individual, is guilty of a crime, abuses its strength, and by acting on the law of the strongest breaks up the foundations of society. -- Thomas Jefferson Absolute power corrupts even when exercised for humane purposes. The benevolent despot who sees himself as a shepherd of the people still demands from others the submissiveness of sheep. -- Eric Hoffer "You do not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered." -Lyndon B. Johnson See Twenty Years of CAPTA "Government can't solve the problem. Government is the problem." --Ronald Reagan "For every social problem A caused by government program X, problem A can be solved by abolishing program X. The principle can be applied at all levels of government --federal, state and municipal. The possibilities are intriguing and should appeal to partisans of all political persuasions." --William J. Stepp "Our natural, inalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation from government, and freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment." --Ronald Reagan "The world is weary of statesmen whom democracy has degraded into politicians." - Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) First Prime Minister of England Source: Lothair, XVII, 1870 "Russell Kirk with sufficient documentation reveals the dream N.E.A. has...to imitate the collectivist schools of Eastern Europe; to take over functions now traditionally believed to belong to the family...The schools 'will become part of a comprehensive human services system which fulfills many of the functions traditionally assumed by the family.'" --Ronald Reagan It is the invariable habit of bureaucracies, at all times and everywhere, to assume...that every citizen is a criminal. Their one apparent purpose, pursued with a relentless and furious diligence, is to convert the assumption into a fact. They hunt endlessly for proofs, and, when proofs are lacking, for mere suspicions. The moment they become aware of a definite citizen, John Doe, seeking what is his right under the law, they begin searching feverishly for an excuse for withholding it from him.--H. L. Mencken ![]() Are we there? “The government solution to any problem is usually at least as bad as the problem.” —Milton Friedman A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within. -- Will Durant "Multiculturalism and coercive tolerance of bizarre lifestyles describes a social experiment, not a civilization." -Paul Gottfried More than anything, civilization depends on continence. Imagine the floor of wherever we are- covered with urine and feces like a diary loafing shed. Animals just let it drop wherever they are. For humans who are incontinent, there's adult diapers, and for men- condoms Those who excuse indiscretions as "I am only human"-are trying not to say "I am only an animal".- Leonard Henderson The real abuse and neglect of America's children comes from the government prohibition of punishment for bad behavior. Spanking is a high offense in our urine-soaked politically correct social-experiment society. I have even heard of "excessive time outs" alleged as abuse. Left with no suitable tools to deal with bad behavior and rebellion, parents have to resign to letting the kids raise themselves in the pop culture of his peers. Parents can only dread the day the kid finally lands the family in the distorted fishbowl of the family court system. Parents have no help, allies or friends, only institutionalized wolves. Such a kid has almost no chance to grow up to be anything but a non- productive narcissistic thug and incompetent consumer of government programs. Isn't that ABUSE?- Leonard Henderson Isaiah 3 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. 5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable. 12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, Judges, and Governors, shall all become wolves. - Thomas Jefferson (letter to Edward Carrington, 16 January 1787) "God declared dead and in His place, 50,000 caseworkers arose!"- Drs. Richard & Lillian Dunsmore |

| June 2, 2008 5:30 PDT AFRA's NEWEST MEMBER Comments: My fight is a little different but the same. CPS was called on me and I have a letter from CPS that says no investigation is needed that there are no grounds. It also states no services are needed. However, the courts took my children away anyway. Could somebody explain that to me? What would YOU tell her? |

by Melinda Pillsbury-Foster (Libertarian) Saturday, June 28, 2008 American taxpayers fund a racket that wrenches the stomach. That is CPS. Some of those involved claim their are just following orders, others just pocket the bounty on children wrenched from their parent's arms. Nuremberg answered the question of orders; profiting from human trafficking should be a capital offense. We are going to take you behind the lies into the ugly truth that is destroying families for profit every day, in every community across America. You won't want to believe it but when you see their faces, hear their voices, you will understand why this is happening and what it means to your own life, even if you don't have children. The same system that views children as
commodities to be sold also has plans for you. There is a
solution and we will get to that.
CPS steals children using the system paid for by citizens who
believe it is being used to protect those in need. That is a fraud;
the system actually pumps money into the personal accounts of all those
involved in the system, converting children into cash while destroying
them and their families. The number of children who emerge from the
system, able to function normally, are near zero. Some are never
seen again. Full

WHY
NONE of the states are "in compliance" to receive federal
funding |
If
you want to see where the Social Security funds are going, you may begin
by looking at P.L.
96-272: The Adoption Assistance and Child Welfare Act of 1980. "The Act required all states to establish an adoption subsidy program and remove the financial disincentives to states by providing federal dollars to be used as a portion of adoption subsidy payments for children previously eligible for the Title IV-E Foster Care Program. Since 1980, the program has grown dramatically – from no federal funding in 1980 to $1.2 billion in 2000." (Source- North American Council on Adoptable Children) The system destroying the American Family is now defrauding YOU of $7 BILLION dollars a year to do it. |

Parenting Part I of an In-depth Look at Article 18 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child During our series on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, most of the articles we have considered have focused on the relationship between the state and the child. Article 18 is therefore unique in its emphasis on the responsibilities of parents, and the supervised relationship that these parents have with the state. | Legislator rebukes children’s agency Tuesday, June 24, 2008 By KATHIE DURBIN, Columbian staff writer WASHINGTON STATE- The agency that administers Washington’s programs for children and families is facing renewed election-year pressure over how well it protects vulnerable children. The Children’s Administration supervises about 10,300 children in foster care and handles 76,000 reports annually of child abuse and neglect. The agency recently opted out of seeking accreditation that would have imposed strict national standards for supervising children in foster care and responding to reports of child abuse and neglect. The decision may violate a directive from the 2001 Legislature, said Sen. Val Stevens, R-Arlington. It comes as the agency prepares to go to court Monday to defend itself against accusations it is not complying with the settlement of a previous lawsuit. That long-running lawsuit accuses the state of failing to protect foster children. Full Story |

help too slow in Texas arrest, high court says By MICHAEL GRACZYK, Associated Press Writer Mon Jun 23, 5:51 PM ET A man whose life was turned upside-down by a wrongful arrest and weeks in jail should have been given access to a lawyer sooner so he could have shown the arrest was erroneous, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Monday. The high court ruled 8-1 in favor of Walter Rothgery. Looks like a "big win" for the falsely accused, huh? Not necessarily so. Read the fine print. Even a SCOTUS "decision" is a non-decision. |

| DCF leader seeks to preserve families
BY RENEE MICHELLE HARRIS South Florida Times Last Updated Friday, 20 June 2008 In some child welfare circles, ‘family preservationist’ is a dirty phrase. ...One of his philosophies includes partnering
with parents who have come to the state’s attention because of suspicions
of child abuse or neglect. This guy is far more rare than anybody realizes. By the way, this is what the LAW says is supposed to happen, called Reasonable Efforts. That's why most of the agencies are committing FRAUD in collecting the money for foster care. |

Every day, 3000 American families, already
prejudiced as GUILTY, never having their Miranda Rights, Constitutional
Rights, or Due Process, face the loss of their children (family death
penalty*) over anonymous
allegations- most of which are FALSE. And a large number of the
allegations are
MALICIOUSLY made by somebody to get "revenge".
The foster system and residential treatment centers are packed FULL of KIDS who are denied THEIR Fourth Amendment Constitutional Right to "be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures". *Permanent termination of parental rights has been described as "the family law equivalent of the death penalty in a criminal case." In re Smith (1991), 77 Ohio App.3d 1, 16, 601 N.E.2d 45, 54. Therefore, parents "must be afforded every procedural and substantive protection the law allows." (which "protection" families are getting exactly NONE in the unconstitutional Family Courts) |

| *U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear DCFS case June 17, 2008 BY ERICA L. GREEN Staff Reporter Chicago Sun-Times ...The court denied Monday to hear the Dupuy vs. McEwen case filed by the Chicago-based legal advocacy group Family Defense Center. The suit sought to find DCFS "safety plans" coercive, and their hasty implementation a violation of parents' Fourth Amendment rights. The suit claimed that when a report of child abuse is made -- no matter how unfounded -- DCFS forces parents to agree to a safety plan or have their children placed in foster care. Full Story

“One is innocent until proven guilty.” Perhaps this is the bedrock of Americans’ sense of justice. Its corollary is that one should not be punished until that guilt is established. But there is nothing more punishing than the strategic but sadistic use of pain to force a confession or to gain information. Victims of torture—who tell us that they longed for death—would testify that this punishment is even worse than death. Punishment before guilt is proven must be viewed as anathema to American’s values. --January 6, 2005 Testimony of Douglas A. Johnson, Executive Director The Center for Victims of Torture |

Child Abuse Law News Friday, June 13, 2008 Mothers' Dilemma Eased The Washington (State) Legislature has amended RCW 13.34's shelter care provisions to prohibit a court's removing a child from a parent's care solely because the parent is uncertain whether allegations that the child has been abused are true. Likewise, the new law prohibits barring the child's placement with another relative solely because the relative is uncertain. This change addresses a recurring problem for parents–commonly mothers–of children said to have been abused: the fear that one will be considered an unfit parent unless one agrees that the child has been abused by one's spouse or domestic partner. ESSB 6792 amended the RCW 13.34.065 shelter care hearing factors a court must take into consideration when deciding whether to remove a child from parental custody. The new provision reads: "Uncertainty by a parent, guardian, legal custodian, relative, or other suitable person that the alleged abuser has in fact abused the child shall not, alone, be the basis upon which a child is removed from the care of a parent, guardian, or legal custodian under of this subsection, nor shall it be a basis, alone, to preclude placement with a relative under (b) of this subsection or with another suitable person under (d) of this subsection." The following statistics represent the number of cases per 100,000 children in the United States. This information is from The National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) in Washington. Perpetrators of Maltreatment
Imagine that- 6.4 children die at the hands of the very agencies that are supposed to protect them and only 1.5 at the hands of parents per 100,000 children. CPS perpetrates more abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse and kills more children than parents in the United States. If the citizens of this country hold CPS to the same standard that they hold parents to, no judge should ever put another child in the hands of ANY government agency because CPS nationwide is guilty of more harm and death than any human being combined. CPS nationwide is guilty of more human rights violations and deaths of children than the homes from which they were removed. When are the judges going to wake up and see that they are sending children to their death and a life of abuse when children are removed from safe homes based on the mere opinion of social workers. |

...Wexler said that erring on the side of the child does not protect children. "There probably is no phrase in the child-welfare lexicon that has done more harm to children than "err on the side of the child," Wexler said, adding, "The problem with the systematic abuses revealed by the News-Democrat Sunday is not that they hurt parents, though of course they do. ... "They hurt children by subjecting them to the enormous emotional trauma of needless foster care. ... They hurt children by placing them at risk of abuse in foster care itself, where the rate of abuse is far higher than generally realized, and far higher than the general population." Just like an alleged "dirty house" being alleged "neglect", there is NO LAW stating "If you can't find anything wrong in a home invasion, "err on the side of the child- kidnap the kids anyway and slap them in Foster Jail, interrogate them and dope them out of their heads. Lie to them, saying 'You can go home if you say something we want you to" This system is infinitely more insane, evil and incompetent than you can possibly imagine.. |
