1. Post to this NG and to the other email lists--particularly on Yahoogroups.com

2. Buy a bumper sticker from CPSWatch.com  Have your relatives display them on the cars.

3. Forward posts to other NG where the subject of the posts mirror the interests of the group--e.g., breastfeeding, misc kids, clutter, etc.

4. Make friends with the reporters in your town who cover the CPS beat. Tell them your story (can be anonymous and off the record).  Encourage your friends to call the reporter and inform about CPS' illegalities.

5. Join local parent support groups.  Especially those dealing with Special Ed issues and Teen problem groups.  You will be surprised at the number of folk who have real issues with DYFS, DHS, ACS.  Network with these folk.

6. Meet with local politicos who control the CPS services.  I recently had a half hour meeting with my wonderful Congressman.  Bring an action plan with you.  Follow up on these meetings.  Volunteer to work for the re-election of those candidates who support your issues.

7.  See if CPSWatch. still has issues of their magazine available.  Distribute these to local hotbeds of discontent.

8.  Call up local talk radio stations and fill them in on the illegalities perpetuated by CPS.

9. Call up those local *CONTACT* HOTLINES and explain your problems with DSS, FIA, ACS, anonymously.  Ask if they have heard these stories before.  Wonder why DHS is so intractable in its positions?

10.Talk to local ministers.  Many of them have had experiences with CPS.  Ask why cannot church members foster your children if you have no one to give KINSHIP care?

11. Bring us all your ideas.  We will forward this list around.

12. Conduct toy and book drives for children in your neighborhood who are underprivileged.  Elicit from them their ideas concerning CPS reformation.

13. Place Website links at the bottom of your postings.  Be accessible and open and transparent on the Web.

14. Be a friend to children in need.  Try to listen and get the kids to talk. Kids do benefit from concerned adult ministrations.

SEND US YOUR IDEAS.  BUILD THIS SITE SO IT MEANS SOMETHING TO FOLKS INTERNATIONALLY.
