Ms. Liberty N. Justice
Ms. Liberty N. Justice passed away after a long battle with the Fatal Disease of
Injustice. As she lay suffering in pain on her deathbed, she whispered
these, her last words:
|
"Give me your tired, your poor... Those words don't mean much anymore. Huddled masses yearned to breathe free. But now look what's happened to me! I recall when I loomed in their sight, Weary faces glowed with delight. I remember their misty eyes, And their happy, heartfelt sighs... Their tearstained faces showed cheer That they were finally here, In the land of the free and the brave! They fell to their knees and prayed, Prayers of thanks that they finally were free, Yes, they knew when they first saw Me. But now, what am I to do? My words no longer ring true. Someone please take hold of my hand-- Help me stand proud and tall once again... FOR THE SAKE OF OUR FELLOW MAN!" |
